CUCET 2027 Preparation
Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Chandigarh University, Mohali notices
Class 12 level preparation is enough for most of the test. The plan below follows the official non-medical paper: 100 one-mark questions in 120 minutes with no negative marking.
Tips
- Revise NCERT Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- Practise timed MCQ sets.
- Register in Phase I for better scholarship slabs.
- Test your laptop and webcam beforehand.
Study plan
- Physics, Chemistry or Computers, and Mathematics are 25 questions each, so 75 of 100 marks come from three subjects. Split study time roughly equally among them.
- English (10) and Aptitude (15) are the quickest marks; give them 20 minutes of daily practice in the last month.
- Because there is no negative marking, attempt every question; guess in the last 10 minutes rather than leave blanks.
- Time budget: about 1.2 minutes per question. Take weekly 120 minute mocks on a laptop with webcam on to mimic the proctored test.
Scholarship strategy
Marks above 90 earn a 100% waiver in both phases, and 80 to 90 earns 50% in Phase I against 40% in Phase II. Aim to take the test in Phase I once your mock scores are steady above 80. If you hold a JEE Main rank up to 50,000, check whether the exemption still lets you claim a slab.
