Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (lateral entry to B.E./B.Tech and B.Pharmacy)
AP ECET is the Andhra Pradesh entrance test for diploma and B.Sc (Mathematics) holders who want to join the second year of B.E./B.Tech or B.Pharmacy. The 2026 test was held on 23 April 2026 and seats were filled through APSCHE online counselling.

AP ECET is an online test of 200 questions and 200 marks. The paper depends on your stream.
Paper structure

Marking and rank rules
- Duration is 3 hours and every question carries 1 mark.
- No negative marking was reported for AP ECET 2026.
- To get a rank you need at least 25% of the total, that is 50 of 200 marks. There is no minimum for SC and ST candidates.
- Ties in marks are broken by the rules in the notification, usually by marks in the main subject paper.
How to approach it
Half the paper is the branch engineering subjects, so the diploma syllabus carries the most weight. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry make up the rest and are easier to score on. Practise with the official mock test on the portal to learn the interface.
