Rank formula
For 2026 the instruction booklet fixed the rank as 75 percent normalised AP EAPCET score plus 25 percent Intermediate group marks (PCM for MPC, PCB for BiPC), excluding language papers and practicals. The top engineering score was reported as 95.6975 on this combined scale.
The weightage has changed across years (it was waived in 2021 and 2022 because of COVID), so check the notification for 2027.
Tie-breaking (MPC)
- Higher normalised Mathematics marks
- Then higher normalised Physics marks
- Then higher Intermediate PCM marks
- Then the older candidate
Qualifying and validity
Candidates need 40 out of 160 (25 percent) to qualify; SC and ST candidates have no minimum for getting a rank. The rank is valid for that year's admissions only.
