Sharda SUAT 2027 Preparation

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Sharda University, Greater Noida notices

SUAT for engineering is Class 11 and 12 level, so preparation mostly overlaps with JEE Main and board revision. The official pattern is 150 objective questions in 90 minutes with no negative marking and a 35 percent qualifying mark.

Preparation plan

  • Revise NCERT Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Class 11 and 12.
  • Solve the official sample paper on suat.sharda.ac.in in 90 minutes.
  • Practise English comprehension and basic aptitude daily for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • With no negative marking, attempt every question; do not leave any blank.
  • Check the exam rules and your hall ticket a day before.

Time management

With 150 questions in 90 minutes you have roughly 36 seconds per question on average. Do the quick English and aptitude questions first, then Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and use the last ten minutes to guess the remaining questions.

Score target

A score of at least 35 percent is needed to qualify, so aim well above it, since the score also feeds into scholarship and branch choice. Take three or four full 90 minute mocks in the last fortnight and track accuracy by section.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Spending more than a minute on one numerical in a paper that allows about 36 seconds a question.
  • Ignoring English Communication and General Aptitude, which are the quickest marks.
  • Using coaching-site patterns of 60 or 100 questions instead of the official 150.

Back-up options

A JEE Main rank below 3,00,000 can exempt you from SUAT for engineering, so prepare for JEE Main as well and keep JoSAA and state counselling open.
