AMUEEE 2027 Preparation

Updated on 18 October 2026 · Compiled from official Aligarh Muslim University notices

A solid NCERT base with timed practice is the best preparation. The reported 2026 paper is 100 MCQs in 2 hours, which gives about 72 seconds per question.

Study plan

  • Read NCERT Class 11 and 12 for all three subjects.
  • Solve previous year AMUEEE and JEE Main level questions.
  • Take timed mocks for 100 questions in 2 hours.
  • Revise formulas and reactions weekly.

Subject focus

Mathematics usually decides the rank, so practise calculus and algebra for speed. In Physics focus on numericals from mechanics and electricity, and in Chemistry give time to physical and organic basics.

Month-wise routine

  • Months 1 to 3: finish the Class 11 and 12 syllabus once from NCERT and make a formula and reaction notebook.
  • Months 4 and 5: topic tests for each chapter, then one full-length paper a week.
  • Last month: two mocks a week with a written error log, and daily revision of the notebook.
  • Keep Class 12 board preparation in the same plan, since AMU asks for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English marks.

Negative marking

With reported negative marking of 0.25, skip questions you cannot narrow down. Practise shading an OMR sheet in mocks if the test is offline, because a wrong bubble costs a full question.

Back-up options

AMU does not use JEE Main for B.Tech as reported, so also write JEE Main and keep JoSAA, UPTAC or another state counselling as a fallback in case the AMU rank is not enough for your branch.
