About JEE Main 2026 Syllabus

JEE Main 2026 syllabus follows the NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 curriculum, as revised and rationalized in 2023–24. NTA released an updated information brochure that specifies the exact topics for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

Some Class 11 topics that were removed during NCERT's rationalization exercise are also excluded from JEE Main 2026. Candidates should refer to the official NTA brochure for the precise list. Total approximate chapters: 75–80 across all three subjects.

Is NCERT enough for JEE Main 2026?
NCERT is absolutely essential and covers 80–85% of what is needed for JEE Main. For Chemistry, NCERT alone can score you 80+ in Chemistry. For Physics and Mathematics, NCERT should be supplemented with standard reference books like HC Verma (Physics), RD Sharma/Cengage (Maths) for practice problems. Do not skip NCERT examples or exercises.
