WBJEE 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment

Round 3 was WBJEEB's third and final centralized allotment stage for WBJEE 2026, commonly called the Mop-Up round. It followed Round 1 (allotment July 7, 2026) and Round 2 (allotment declared July 21, 2026), and was built around a freshly published vacancy list that reflected every seat left unfilled after two full rounds — including seats vacated by candidates who accepted an allotment but never completed reporting. Its allotment result, declared July 28, 2026, marked the conclusion of WBJEE 2026 centralized counselling.

Unlike Round 2, which primarily processes upgrades for candidates already in the pool, Round 3 opens against a vacancy matrix that looks meaningfully different: seats at Jadavpur University and IIEST Shibpur are almost always exhausted by this point, while a much larger share of open seats sits at private engineering colleges affiliated to MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology). Candidates who treat Round 3 as a simple continuation of their Round 1 choice list, without reassessing it against the actual Round 3 vacancies, often miss realistic options that only become visible at this stage.

Reservation categories — SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, and PwD — continue to apply through Round 3 exactly as in earlier rounds. It's worth rechecking the category-wise vacancy breakdown specifically, since reserved seats at government and government-aided colleges sometimes remain open even after general-category equivalents have closed.
