WBJEE 2026 exam was held on May 24, 2026. Result is expected around late June 2026 (approx. June 22–30). Counselling schedule will be released after results — expected August–September 2026. Note: WBJEE 2025 had delays due to OBC reservation litigation — monitor wbjeeb.nic.in closely.

Round-wise Counselling Breakdown
Round 1
- Open to all registered candidates with valid WBJEE 2026 rank
- Fill up to 50–100 institute-course combinations in order of preference
- Allotment based on rank, category, and choice order
- Accept seat with 'Upgrade' option to remain in Round 2 pool
- Pay partial seat acceptance fee to hold allotment
Round 2
- Open to Round 1 'Upgrade' candidates and new registrants (if allowed)
- Seats from Round 1 rejectees + new vacancies become available
- Can get a better college/branch if rank permits
- Accepting Round 2 seat cancels Round 1 allotment automatically
- Pay seat acceptance fee to confirm Round 2 allotment
Mop-Up Round
- Fills remaining vacant seats after Round 1 and Round 2
- Open to candidates who were not allotted or did not accept seats
- Typically fewer seats available — mostly less-preferred branches/colleges
- No further upgrade option after Mop-Up acceptance
- Final physical reporting follows Mop-Up allotment

Registration Deadline
Missing this means no participation in any round. Register on Day 1 of the window.
Choice Locking Deadline
Choices NOT locked before deadline are not considered for allotment. Lock at least 24 hours early.
Seat Acceptance Fee
Not paying within deadline cancels your allotment. Check portal every 2 hours on deadline day.
Document Upload Deadline
Missing document upload can result in seat cancellation even after payment.
