MHT-CET 2026 CAP counselling is now fully complete. CAP Round 1 was declared August 2, 2026, CAP Round 2 on August 9, and CAP Round 3 on August 24, 2026. CAP Round 3 was not the final round — DTE Maharashtra conducted a further CAP Round 4, the actual final round, with choice filling August 30–September 1 and the seat allotment result declared September 3, 2026. Reporting for Round 4 began September 7, 2026.

CAP Round 3 – Step-by-Step Process

Confirm Round 3 Eligibility

Candidates who chose Float or Slide in Round 2, and those unallotted in Round 2, were eligible for Round 3 automatically.

Check CAP Round 3 Allotment Result

Round 3 result was declared August 24, 2026. Candidates then had the option to Freeze or Float into CAP Round 4, the actual final round (result September 3, 2026).

Strongly Consider Freezing in the Final Round

In CAP Round 4 (the final round), candidates were strongly advised to Freeze unless they had a compelling reason to try for an upgrade, since no centralized rounds followed Round 4.

Pay the Acceptance Fee

Pay the acceptance fee within the specified deadline each round. Missing this forfeited the allotment with no recovery.

Download and print your final allotment letter (from Round 4, if applicable). This is the official document for your admission.

Attend Document Verification

Report to the allotted institute from September 7, 2026 for document verification. Carry all originals and photocopies.

Complete Admission Formalities

Pay the institute fee, submit original documents, and complete all other admission-related formalities at the institute.

Keep a list of colleges with remaining vacancies ready and visit them promptly — seats fill up quickly in these rounds.
