KCET 2026 Counselling Dates & Schedule

Complete timeline for Karnataka CET 2026 counselling — registration, choice filling, allotment rounds & key deadlines

Latest Update — July 30, 2026

KCET 2026 results were declared on June 6, 2026, and KEA began counselling (UGCET) on June 22, 2026. Round 1 option entry ran July 6–9, 2026, with mock allotment on July 6. The Round 1 provisional seat allotment was released July 13, 2026, and the final Round 1 seat allotment was declared on July 14, 2026 — of 1,41,872 professional seats, 1,22,512 were allotted in Round 1, leaving 19,374 seats for Round 2. Round 2 registration opened July 12, 2026 for unallotted/upgrade candidates. As of this update, KEA has still not officially confirmed the Round 2 seat allotment declaration date — historically there is a 4–5 week gap after Round 1 before Round 2 results, so a tentative window of August–September 2026 remains the best estimate. Check cetonline.karnataka.gov.in for the official date.

Key Deadlines You Must Not Miss

🔴

Registration Deadline

KEA typically gives a 7–10 day window for counselling registration. Missing this deadline means you cannot participate in any round of KCET 2026 counselling.

🟠

Document Verification Appointment

Candidates must book a slot at a KEA help centre or district centre for document verification before choice filling. Without DV, choices cannot be submitted.

🔴

Choice Filling Lock Deadline

Once the choice filling window closes, no modifications are allowed. Ensure you have filled sufficient choices (minimum 50+ recommended) and locked them before the deadline.

🔴

Seat Acceptance Fee Deadline

After allotment, you must pay the seat acceptance fee online within 2–3 days. Non-payment leads to automatic cancellation of allotment.

🔴

College Reporting Deadline

Physical reporting to the allotted college with original documents is mandatory within 5–7 days of allotment. Missing this forfeits your seat.
