JEE Main 2026 Result Overview

JEE Main 2026 results for both sessions have been declared by NTA (National Testing Agency) on the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in. Frequently Asked Questions – JEE Main 2026 Result

Common questions about JEE Main 2026 result, scorecard, and next steps

1
How to check JEE Main 2026 result?
Visit jeemain.nta.nic.in → click 'Result / Score Card' → enter your Application Number and Date of Birth → submit → download and save the scorecard as PDF. The scorecard shows your NTA score (percentile), raw marks, and All India Rank.
2
What is NTA score in JEE Main 2026?
NTA score is the normalized percentile score, not raw marks. It indicates the percentage of candidates who scored equal to or below you in that session. A score of 99.5 means you performed better than 99.5% of all candidates. NTA score is used — not raw marks — for JEE Advanced cutoff and JoSAA rank calculation.
3
How many candidates qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 from JEE Main?
Approximately 2.5 lakh candidates qualify for JEE Advanced 2026 based on their JEE Main 2026 performance. The top 2,50,000 unique candidates (across both sessions, counting each candidate once) from the Common Rank List (CRL) are eligible, with category-wise reservations applied.
4
How does the best of two sessions rule work in JEE Main 2026?
NTA considers the better NTA score between Session 1 (January–February) and Session 2 (April) for each candidate. If you appeared in both sessions, the higher percentile is used for All India Rank calculation and JEE Advanced eligibility. There is no penalty for appearing in both sessions.
5
Who are the JEE Main 2026 toppers?
In JEE Main 2026 Session 2, 26 candidates achieved a perfect 100 NTA score (percentile). NTA publishes the list of toppers on jeemain.nta.nic.in after the result is declared. Toppers come from various states, with Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Delhi traditionally producing high scorers.
