JEE Advanced 2026 SC Cutoff – IIT SC Category Qualifying Marks
SC qualifying marks, SC rank list, and IIT JoSAA 2026 closing ranks for SC category
JEE Advanced SC Category Qualifying Cutoff 2026
JEE Advanced has category-specific qualifying cutoffs. For SC (Scheduled Caste) candidates, the cutoff is set at 50% of the General category threshold. Based on 2025 data, this means approximately 45 marks aggregate out of 360, with subject-wise minimums in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
SC candidates who cross this qualifying threshold are placed in the SC rank list. This rank determines which IIT seats they can access in JoSAA 2026. The SC rank also allows access to 15% SC-reserved seats across all IIT branches.
Importantly, SC candidates can choose to fill choices based on CRL rank (if it gives a better seat) — you are not limited to only SC category seats. Many SC toppers with strong CRL ranks take General category seats in top IIT branches.
