Frequently Asked Questions – JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card

Common questions about JEE Advanced 2026 admit card download, ID proofs, and exam day preparation

1
How to download the JEE Advanced 2026 admit card?
Visit jeeadv.ac.in → click on 'Admit Card' link → log in with your JEE Advanced 2026 Registration Number and Date of Birth → download and print the admit card as a PDF. The admit card is not sent by post — it must be downloaded from the official website. Keep at least 2 printed copies.
2
What should I do if I forgot my JEE Advanced admit card on exam day?
JEE Advanced rules generally do not allow entry without the admit card. However, you may be permitted conditional entry if you can show a valid photo ID and the invigilator confirms your registration via the attendance sheet. You must bring a photocopy of the admit card or download it on your phone and show it — though a physical printout is strongly preferred. Contact the exam center help desk immediately.
3
Which ID proof is accepted with the JEE Advanced 2026 admit card?
Accepted photo IDs include: Aadhaar Card, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Class 10 or 12 School Admit Card with photo, or Driving License. A government-issued ID with a clear photograph is required. Do NOT carry just an ATM card or institution ID — official government-issued ID is mandatory.
4
How is the test center allotted for JEE Advanced 2026?
Test centers are allotted based on the city/zone preference provided during JEE Advanced registration. NTA assigns centers city-wise within IIT zones (Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Roorkee, Guwahati). You cannot change the exam center after admit card generation. The center address, room number, and reporting time are mentioned on the admit card.
5
Is the JEE Advanced admit card the same as the hall ticket?
Yes. 'Admit Card' and 'Hall Ticket' are the same document used interchangeably for JEE Advanced. It serves as your entry pass to the exam center. The document includes your registration number, name, photograph, signature, exam date and time, center name and address, and instructions for the examination day.
