UPTAC 2026 counselling is now essentially complete. Registration fee: ₹1,000. Seat acceptance: ₹20,000 (General/OBC), ₹12,000 (SC/ST).
Round-wise Counselling Guide
- Registration was done at uptac.samarth.edu.in with JEE Main 2026 roll number and scorecard, from May 25 to June 30, 2026.
- Registration fee: ₹1,000. APAAR ID (via DigiLocker) was mandatory to complete registration.
- This was the only registration window for Rounds 1–4 — no fresh registrations in these regular rounds.
- Round 1 choice filling ran July 13–16, 2026, with the Round 1 seat allotment declared July 18, 2026.
- Round 2 choice filling followed, with its deadline extended to July 22, 2026 (6 PM), and the Round 2 result was declared in late July.
- Round 3 allowed further choice editing for floating candidates and was completed through late July 2026.
- Allotment is published on the portal — login to check your allotted seat after each round.
- Pay the seat acceptance fee within the given deadline (typically 2–3 days) without fail.
- Choose 'Freeze' (exit further rounds) or 'Float' (stay eligible for upgrades, cannot get a worse seat).
- Round 4 is an auto-freeze round — floating candidates were automatically frozen to their best allotted seat. Round 4 was allotted August 3, 2026, with fee payment due by August 7, 2026.

Key Deadline Warnings
- Seat acceptance fee payment deadline is typically only 2–3 days after allotment. Missing it forfeits your seat permanently.
- Choice locking is irreversible — double-check all preferences before locking.
- Document upload must be completed before choice filling; incomplete profiles may not get allotment.
- UP domicile/category certificates must be valid and issued by a competent authority.
- Round 4 is auto-freeze — no choice changes are possible in the main rounds after this; Special Round and Special Round 2 seats (physical reporting completed September 3–7, 2026) are final.
