JEE Advanced College Predictor With Real JoSAA 2026 Cutoff Data

No guesswork — predictions anchored to actual round-wise JoSAA 2026 opening & closing ranks

What "Real" Data Actually Means Here

Many college predictor tools online use rough estimates or extrapolated numbers. Ours is built directly on JoSAA's own published round-wise results for 2026 — covering all 5 rounds, all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and GFTIs, with separate tracking of General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD cutoffs.

To illustrate the scale and precision of this real dataset: across JoSAA 2026, IIT seats totalled 323 tracked institute-branch-quota combinations, with the best (lowest) closing rank consistently at IIT Bombay (rank 65–67 through all rounds) and the average closing rank across all IITs rising from 7,443 in Round 1 to 8,369 by Round 5. For IIT CSE programmes specifically (26 IITs offering CSE), the average closing rank moved from 2,982 to 3,266 over the same period.

This level of granularity — tracked round by round rather than as a single end-of-counselling number — is what lets the predictor give you a realistic read on which round a seat is likely to open up in, not just whether it's reachable at all.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the real JoSAA 2026 cutoff data behind this predictor

1
What does 'real JoSAA cutoff data' mean for this predictor?
It means the predictor is built on the actual round-by-round opening and closing ranks published by JoSAA for all 5 rounds of 2026 counselling — across all 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs and 38+ GFTIs — rather than synthetic estimates or averages pulled from unrelated years.
2
How many institutes does the real cutoff dataset cover for IITs?
The dataset covers all 23 IITs (323 IIT-branch-quota combinations tracked across rounds), including every campus from IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi down to newer IITs like IIT Bhilai, IIT Dharwad, IIT Jammu, IIT Goa, and IIT Palakkad.
3
Does real data include category-wise cutoffs (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS)?
Yes. The underlying JoSAA data is tracked separately for General (CRL/Open), EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories for every institute-branch combination, since closing ranks vary significantly by category.
4
Why do closing ranks change between Round 1 and Round 5?
As rounds progress, candidates allotted seats in earlier rounds either freeze, float (seeking a better option), or slide (seeking a better branch at the same institute). This movement vacates and refills seats, shifting closing ranks — for IITs overall, the average closing rank moved from about 7,443 in Round 1 to about 8,369 by Round 5 in JoSAA 2026.
5
Is real cutoff data from 2026 better than using 2025 data alone?
Yes, where available. 2026 round-wise data reflects the current seat matrix, current applicant pool size, and current institute-level changes (like new branches or revised intake), making it more directly applicable than relying solely on 2025 figures, which we still reference for year-over-year trend comparison.
6
Can real JoSAA data guarantee my 2026 rank will get the same seat?
No predictor can guarantee a seat — cutoffs shift slightly from cycle to cycle. Real historical data gives you the most statistically grounded estimate of your probability band (Certain/Likely/Possible/Unlikely), not a guarantee.
