CSAB 2026 Registration – How to Apply

CSAB 2026 registration opens ~July 12–18, 2026 on csab.nic.in. JEE Main qualified candidates with 75% in Class 12 are eligible. Registration fee: ~₹200–350.

CSAB 2026 Eligibility Criteria

JEE Main Rank

Must have a valid JEE Main 2026 rank (Paper 1 — B.Tech/B.E.)

Class 12 Marks

75% aggregate in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) OR top 20 percentile in board

Age Limit

No upper age limit for CSAB. Candidates who passed Class 12 in 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible.

JoSAA Status

Did not accept and report to a JoSAA 2026 seat. Withdrew candidates are eligible.

Nationality

Indian nationals. Foreign nationals must use DASA, not CSAB.

All categories eligible: General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD

Step-by-Step CSAB 2026 Registration Process

Visit csab.nic.in

Go to the official CSAB portal. Click on 'CSAB 2026 Registration' link when it goes live (~July 12–18, 2026).

Enter JEE Main Credentials

Enter your JEE Main 2026 Application Number (Roll Number) and Date of Birth to authenticate.

Fill Registration Form

Enter personal details: name, email, mobile number, state of eligibility, category, PwD status, and Class 12 board details.

Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of Class 10 certificate, Class 12 mark sheet, category certificate (if any), and passport-size photograph.

Pay Registration Fee

Pay ₹200–350 online via Net Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Keep the payment receipt.

Fill Choice List

After registration, fill your institute + branch preference list in order of priority. Be thorough — fill 30–50 choices if possible.

Lock Choices

Lock your choices before the deadline. Once locked, you cannot change them. Print the locked choice list as proof.

Is CSAB 2026 registration free?
No, CSAB registration has a fee of approximately ₹200–350 (based on past years). This fee is non-refundable regardless of whether you receive a seat allotment. Additionally, if you accept a CSAB seat, you pay a seat acceptance fee of ₹30,000 (General/EWS/OBC) or ₹15,000 (SC/ST/PwD).

Can JoSAA-registered candidates register for CSAB?
Yes, but with conditions. If you participated in JoSAA but did not accept the final seat (withdrew before reporting), you CAN register for CSAB. If you accepted a JoSAA seat and reported to the institute, you are NOT eligible for CSAB registration.
