The PCM group in MHT CET covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects. This group qualifies candidates for admission to all engineering and technology programmes in Maharashtra — BE/B.Tech in CSE, IT, Mechanical, Civil, E&TC, Chemical Engineering, and more. PCM candidates cannot apply for pharmacy or agriculture programmes (those require PCB group).

Yes, you can get admission to most Maharashtra engineering colleges with only MHT CET PCM score. JEE Main is not mandatory for state-level CAP. However, some prestigious institutes like BITS Pilani, IITs, and NITs require JEE Main/Advanced. Within Maharashtra, MHT CET is sufficient for VJTI, COEP, ICT, and all private colleges.

Civil Engineering and Production Engineering typically have the lowest cutoffs among engineering branches in MHT CET. Even at top colleges like VJTI, Civil Engineering closes at around 99.5–99.7 percentile (vs 99.99 for CSE). At mid-tier colleges, Civil and Production branches may be accessible at 80–90 percentile in Open category.

MHT CET PCM score is valid for admission to 4-year BE (Bachelor of Engineering) or B.Tech programmes in Maharashtra.
