Why is JEE Main Result Not Opening?

The most common reasons are heavy server load (millions of students accessing simultaneously), browser cache issues, wrong login credentials, or NTA server maintenance. Try these fixes: clear cache, use incognito mode, try early morning, or switch browsers/devices.

Common Causes & Fixes

Problem	Likely Cause	Fix
Page not loading at all	Server overload	Try after 2 hours or at 4–6 AM
Page loads but login fails	Wrong credentials	Double-check Application No. and DOB
Result shows old data / blank	Browser cache	Clear cache or open in incognito
Connection timeout error	Poor internet / server	Switch to different network (WiFi ↔ Data)
Website crashes after login	Server maintenance	Wait 30 min and retry
PDF not downloading	Browser PDF issue	Right-click → Save As, or try different browser

Step-by-Step Fix Guide

Follow these steps in order if your JEE Main result is not opening:

Wait 2–3 hours after the official announcement — servers stabilize after the initial rush.
Open an incognito/private window in Chrome or Firefox. Press Ctrl+Shift+N (Chrome) or Ctrl+Shift+P (Firefox).
Clear your browser cache: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files.
Try a different browser — if Chrome is not working, try Firefox, Edge, or Safari.
Switch networks — if on WiFi, switch to mobile data; if on mobile data, switch to WiFi.
Use the direct URL: jeemain.nta.nic.in — avoid reaching through Google search as cached pages may be outdated.
Check NTA's official Twitter/X (@NTA_Exams) for maintenance announcements.

What Information Do You Need to Log In?

To access your JEE Main result, you need: your Application Number(10-digit number from your admit card or confirmation email) and your Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format. Some portals also ask for your registered mobile number or email OTP for verification.

If you have forgotten your application number, log in to jeemain.nta.nic.in using your email and password, then go to your profile to retrieve it.

After You Can Access the Result

Once you access your scorecard, download and save it immediately as a PDF. Your scorecard shows: NTA Score (percentile) for each subject and overall, raw marks, and your All India Rank. The scorecard is required for JoSAA counselling registration, so keep multiple copies.
