SC Vacant Seats — The Real Numbers
CSAB's official tentative vacancy document lists 1,734 vacant seats under the SC (Scheduled Caste) category across every institute, program, and quota combination heading into the Special Rounds. This is the third-largest reserved-category vacancy pool, behind OBC-NCL (3,065) but ahead of GEN-EWS (1,235) and ST (1,042).
Institute-type-wise, GFTIs account for the biggest share at 821 seats (47%), followed by NITs at 492 (28%) and IIITs at 421 (24%).
