TS EAMCET 2026 Spot Round – Final Seat Allotment Guide

Everything about the TS EAMCET 2026 spot round — eligibility, process for unfilled seats, and what to carry for verification.

What Is the TS EAMCET Spot Round?

After TS EAMCET's regular counselling phases (typically 2-3 rounds of online web-option based seat allotment) conclude, a number of seats across engineering colleges in Telangana usually remain vacant. This can happen because candidates did not report, seats went unfilled in less-preferred branches or colleges, or eligible candidates simply did not participate in earlier rounds. TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education) then conducts a spot round — sometimes called the final phase — to fill these residual seats before the academic session begins.

Unlike the web-based option entry used in Phase 1 and Phase 2, the TS EAMCET spot round is typically conducted in person at designated help line centres or directly at colleges with vacancies. Candidates are informed of the list of colleges and branches with available seats, and allotment happens on the spot based on rank and preference, subject to seat availability at that moment.

Frequently Asked Questions – TS EAMCET 2026 Spot Round

Common queries about TS EAMCET 2026 spot round

1
What is the TS EAMCET 2026 spot round?
The spot round (also called the final phase or spot admission) is the last stage of TS EAMCET counselling, conducted by TSCHE after all regular phases are over, to fill seats that remain vacant. Candidates who did not get a seat, or who did not participate earlier, can attend spot round counselling in person at designated help centres.
2
Who is eligible for the TS EAMCET spot round?
Candidates who registered for TS EAMCET counselling but did not receive any seat allotment, candidates who did not exercise web options in earlier rounds, and in some years newly eligible candidates, can participate in the spot round, subject to TSCHE's published eligibility notification for that year.
3
Is TS EAMCET spot round allotment based on rank or first-come-first-served?
Spot round seat allotment is generally rank-based among the candidates present, but seats are offered only from the pool of vacancies that remain after regular rounds. Because availability is limited to leftover seats, it is common for popular branches like CSE at top colleges to be unavailable, while core branches and less-preferred colleges retain more seats.
4
Do I need to carry original documents for the TS EAMCET spot round?
Yes. Spot round counselling typically requires candidates to be physically present with original certificates (SSC/Intermediate marksheets, TC, category certificate, income certificate, local status certificate) for verification and immediate seat confirmation, unlike earlier online phases.
5
What happens to seats still vacant after the TS EAMCET spot round?
Seats that remain vacant even after the spot round are typically handed over to individual college managements to fill directly (management quota conversion) under TSCHE guidelines, or in rare cases a second spot round is announced if a large number of seats remain unfilled.
6
Can I upgrade my branch or college during the spot round?
Candidates who already hold a seat allotment from an earlier phase can generally also attend the spot round to try for a better option from the remaining vacancies, but this depends on TSCHE's specific rules for that counselling year — always check the official spot round notification.
