JoSAA 2027 Registration – How the Process Is Expected to Work
Portal Steps · Eligibility · Documents Needed · Based on the Stable JoSAA Process
Disclaimer: JoSAA 2027 has not begun and no official dates, fees, or brochure exist as of October 2026. This page explains the stable registration mechanism used in JoSAA 2024–2026 so you understand the process in advance. Confirm exact 2027 dates and fees only via josaa.nic.in once released.
What Is JoSAA Registration?
JoSAA registration is the first mandatory step before choice filling and seat allotment. It is a separate process from your JEE Main/Advanced application — qualifying the exam does not auto-enroll you into JoSAA counselling. Every eligible candidate must register afresh on josaa.nic.in using their JEE credentials.
This process has been consistent across every JoSAA cycle: candidates create a login using their JEE roll/application number, verify via OTP, and then gain access to the choice filling dashboard. The 2027 portal is expected to follow this same structure, though the exact opening date is unknown.
Expected Registration Steps
- 1
Visit josaa.nic.in
Once the 2027 portal is live, navigate to the registration link from the homepage.
- 2
Enter JEE Credentials
Provide your JEE Main/Advanced roll number, application number, and date of birth to verify identity.
- 3
OTP Verification
An OTP is sent to your registered mobile number and email — this has been standard practice for years.
- 4
Set Password & Security Questions
Create a secure login for repeated access through choice filling and result rounds.
- 5
Pay Registration Fee (if applicable)
Pay the nominal processing fee online, where charged, via the payment gateway.
- 6
Proceed to Choice Filling
Once registered, you access the dashboard to begin filling and ordering your choices.
What You'll Likely Need
