JEE Mains College Predictor Based on Real JoSAA Cutoff Data
How our predictions are built from official, round-wise JoSAA opening & closing rank records
Why the Data Source Matters
Not all "college predictors" are built the same way. Some rely on rough rank bands or outdated averages; others are built on the actual opening and closing ranks JoSAA publishes after every round, for every institute-branch-category-quota combination. The difference matters a lot when you're making a real decision about your choice list.
Our JEE Mains College Predictor is built on the latter — official JoSAA round-wise closing rank data, organized by institute, program, quota (HS/OS/AIQ), and category (Open, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD). This lets the predictor compare your rank directly against the rank at which a comparable seat last closed, instead of a generic estimate.
Since JoSAA 2026's Round 5 (final round) results were released on July 16, 2026, that round's closing ranks represent the most reliable historical reference point we have for how far ranks stretched before seats ran out — a pattern that tends to repeat, with some variation, year over year.
What Real Data Can and Can't Tell You
Real cutoff data tells you where seats closed historically — a strong signal, but not a guarantee. Every year's applicant pool, choice-filling patterns, and seat matrix shift slightly, so even the most accurate historical data is a probability guide, not a certainty.
Use the JEE Main College Predictor to get a data-based shortlist for your rank and category, then cross-check borderline options against our JoSAA Seat Matrix and JoSAA Cutoffs pages before finalizing your choice list.
