Frequently Asked Questions – CSAB 2026 Documents

Common questions about document requirements for CSAB 2026

1
How many copies of each document should I carry to CSAB document verification?
Carry at least 2 self-attested photocopies of every document along with originals. Many reporting centres ask for 3 copies. It is safer to have 3 copies of everything — marksheets, admit card, rank card, and all certificates.
2
Is Aadhaar card mandatory for CSAB 2026?
Aadhaar is strongly recommended as the primary photo ID. However, other government-issued photo IDs like Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID are also accepted. Make sure the name on ID matches your JEE Main application exactly.
3
What if my OBC-NCL certificate is older than 6 months?
OBC-NCL certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026 (within 6 months of the academic year). An older certificate will NOT be accepted. Get a fresh certificate from your SDM, Tehsildar, or authorised authority immediately.
4
Do I need Class 10 marksheet for CSAB 2026?
Yes. Class 10 marksheet serves as proof of date of birth since most candidates do not have a birth certificate that authorities accept for this purpose. Always carry it in originals and copies.
5
What documents are needed for PwD category in CSAB 2026?
PwD candidates need a disability certificate issued by a government hospital or a Disability Certification Board constituted by the Central or State government. The certificate should specify the type and percentage of disability. Medical certificates from private hospitals are not accepted.
