Phase 1 vs Phase 2 — Why SRM Has Multiple Phases

SRMJEEE is typically conducted across two or more phases each year, giving candidates multiple opportunities to attempt the exam and improve their score. If you've already appeared for Phase 1 and are unsatisfied with your performance, you can generally register for Phase 2 (subject to SRM's official schedule and eligibility windows for that year).

When a candidate attempts multiple phases, SRM typically considers the best score across all attempts for final merit ranking used in counselling — so your Phase 1 result isn't necessarily your final standing if you plan to attempt again.

What Happens After the Result

Counselling registration opens

SRM typically opens counselling registration for candidates to fill campus and branch preferences based on their rank.

Preference-based seat allotment

Similar to other private university admission processes, seats are allotted based on merit rank and preference order across SRM's various campuses (Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, and others).

Document verification & fee payment

Allotted candidates typically need to complete document verification and pay admission fees within a specified window to confirm their seat.

Multiple counselling rounds

As with most private university admissions, further rounds may follow to fill vacant seats — check the official schedule for exact 2026 dates.

Process description is general and illustrative. Always confirm exact 2026 dates and steps via the official SRM admissions notification.

Frequently Asked Questions – SRMJEEE Phase 1 Result

Common questions about checking your SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 1 result

Where can I check my SRMJEEE 2026 Phase 1 result?

SRMJEEE results are published on the official SRM Institute of Science and Technology website, srmist.edu.in, under the admissions/SRMJEEE section. You typically log in with your application number and date of birth (or password) to view your scorecard. Always use only the official portal — third-party sites publishing 'results' should not be trusted.

What does the SRMJEEE Phase 1 scorecard show?

The scorecard typically shows your section-wise scores (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English, Aptitude), total marks out of the maximum, and your overall rank. Since SRMJEEE allows multiple attempts across phases, the scorecard for Phase 1 reflects that specific session's performance.

Is SRMJEEE Phase 1 my final result if I plan to attempt Phase 2?

No. If you attempt more than one phase, SRM considers your best score across all attempted phases for the final merit ranking used in counselling. Your Phase 1 result is one data point — you can still improve your standing with a stronger Phase 2 attempt if your Phase 1 performance wasn't optimal.

What happens after the SRMJEEE Phase 1 result is declared?

After results, SRM typically opens counselling registration where candidates fill campus and branch preferences based on their rank. Counselling for SRM is usually conducted after all phases conclude (or with provisional calls after Phase 1, depending on the year's schedule) — check the official SRM admissions notification for exact 2026 dates and process.

Can I use my SRMJEEE Phase 1 result to compare with JEE Main for SRM admission?

Some SRM programmes/campuses also consider JEE Main scores as an alternate eligibility route. If you've attempted both exams, you can compare which is likely to give you a better outcome — but this should be confirmed against SRM's current-year admission scheme, as policies can change.
