That said, previous year data should be treated as a strong reference point rather than a guarantee. CSAB previous year cutoffs are the primary tool for estimating your 2026 CSAB options. The process:

1. Find your target institute and branch in the cutoff tables below.
2. Check the General (OS or HS), OBC-NCL, SC, or ST closing rank for your category over 3 years.
3. If your JEE Main 2026 rank is comfortably below the average of 3-year closing ranks, you have a good chance.
4. If your rank is within 15% of the closing rank, it is a moderate-chance option — worth adding to your choice list.
5. Add both comfortable and stretch options to your CSAB choice list before the deadline.
