CSAB 2027 Document Verification — How the Process Is Expected to Work
The verification mechanism, document checklist, and common rejection reasons, based on the stable pattern across past CSAB cycles.
CSAB 2027 instructions not yet published
This page describes the verification mechanism used consistently in past CSAB cycles (through 2026). Exact 2027 verification mode and instructions will be confirmed only with your CSAB 2027 seat allotment letter.
How CSAB Verification Has Consistently Worked
Document verification is the stage where a candidate's claimed eligibility — category, home state quota, PwD status, academic qualification — is cross-checked against supporting official documents. Across past cycles, CSAB verification has typically combined two mechanisms: an online self-upload/reporting step through the CSAB portal, and a physical reporting step at the allotted institute where original documents are checked in person.
In years using a more fully online model, candidates uploaded scanned copies for digital review before confirmation. In years or cases requiring physical reporting, candidates traveled to the allotted institute with originals and self-attested photocopies within a specified window. Some cycles have used a hybrid of both. The specific mode for CSAB 2027 will only be confirmed with the official seat allotment letter for that cycle — always follow those live instructions rather than assuming a particular mode based on past years.

Common Rejection Reasons — Avoidable Regardless of Year
Unclear or Low-Quality Scans
Blurred, cropped, or low-resolution scans have been a consistent top cause of rejection. Always scan at adequate resolution with all text and seals legible.
Expired Category Certificates
OBC-NCL and EWS certificates with strict financial-year validity windows are frequently rejected when outdated, even if valid for an earlier round like JoSAA. SC/ST certificates generally don't expire but must still follow the prescribed format.
Name or Date of Birth Mismatches
Minor spelling differences across documents can trigger rejection or require an affidavit to resolve — double-check consistency well before submission.
