A common misconception is that IIIT Hyderabad admits students the same way NITs do — through JoSAA using JEE Main rank. In reality, IIIT Hyderabad primarily admits through its own entrance exam, UGEE (Undergraduate Entrance Exam), which is separate from both JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
