Tips for Running Multiple Counsellings Simultaneously

• Create a personal deadline calendar: List every deadline from every counselling you're participating in. Set phone reminders 48 hours before each deadline — missing one deadline in a rush can cost you a seat.
• Keep registration fees ready: You'll pay registration fees for multiple counsellings (₹200–₹2,000 each). Keep a dedicated bank account or UPI with sufficient balance to avoid payment failures at critical moments.
• Don't accept a seat you're not serious about: Accepting a seat blocks you from some options in other counsellings. Only accept when you've thought through the decision.
• Know each portal's freeze/float/withdraw rules: JoSAA has freeze/float/slide options. State counsellings have different rules for seat upgrades. Read the official brochure of each counselling carefully.
• Prioritize JoSAA if eligible: If you have a JEE Main/Advanced rank that qualifies you for NITs, IIITs, or IITs, treat JoSAA as the primary counselling. State counsellings are backups unless you specifically prefer a state college.
• Separate email and documents for each portal: Use the same email but keep login credentials noted separately for each portal. Losing access to a portal mid-counselling is very stressful.
