Original rank card downloaded from comedk.org. This is the primary eligibility document.

Class 10 Marksheet & Certificate *Required

For proof of date of birth and qualifying marks. Board certificate required.

Class 12 Marksheet *Required

PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) marks sheet. Minimum 45% in PCM for general (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

Class 12 Passing Certificate *Required

Board-issued pass certificate. If result awaited, a provisional certificate is accepted initially.

Recent Passport-size Photographs *Required

10–15 copies, white background, clearly visible face. Same as used in COMEDK application.

Valid Photo ID Proof *Required

Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID. Any government-issued photo ID.

COMEDK Counselling Registration Receipt *Required

Printout of online registration and fee payment receipt from comedk.org portal.

Seat Allotment Letter *Required

Downloaded from COMEDK portal after seat allotment. Required for institute reporting.

Conditional Documents (If Applicable)

Gap Certificate / Affidavit — If gap of 1+ years after Class 12

Notarized affidavit explaining the gap period. Must state activities during gap. Some colleges require this even for 1-year gaps.

Medical Certificate / Disability Certificate — For PwD candidates

Certificate from a government hospital certifying the disability type and percentage. Required to claim PwD benefits at institute level.

NRI Proof Documents — For NRI candidates

Parent/sponsor's passport, NRI status proof, bank statement showing NRI remittances, OCI/PIO card if applicable.

Income Certificate — For fee concession claims

Some COMEDK institutes offer fee concessions to economically weaker students. Income certificate from a competent authority may be required.

Transfer Certificate (TC) — If studied outside Karnataka

TC from previously attended school/college. Required for final admission formalities at the institute.

Migration Certificate — If migrating from different board

For students from state boards other than Karnataka. Needed during final institute admission.

Document Preparation Tips

Make Multiple Copies

Keep at least 5–10 self-attested photocopies of each document. Different stages of admission may need separate sets.

Carry Originals

Always bring original documents to verification. No admissions are granted without original document verification.

Upload Clearly

When uploading documents online, scan clearly in PDF/JPEG format. Poor quality scans may lead to rejection.

Check Marksheet Names

Ensure name on Class 10, 12 marksheets, COMEDK scorecard, and ID proof are consistent. Discrepancies may cause issues.
