AP EAPCET 2026 Final Phase Seat Allotment

The Spot Allotment round is APSCHE's last centralized, rank-based chance to secure a seat before colleges revert to management-quota or direct admission. Here's who's eligible, what to expect, and what to do next.

APSCHE has not officially notified the AP EAPCET 2026 Spot Allotment (final phase) schedule. Phase 1 seat allotment was declared on August 9, 2026, with reporting August 10–15. The final phase (Spot Allotment) follows after Phase 2 concludes. Always verify current status on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in or our AP EAPCET 2026 dates & schedule page.

Understanding AP EAPCET's Final Phase (Spot Allotment)

After AP EAPCET (AP EAPCET) completes its two main counselling stages — Phase 1 and Phase 2 (commonly searched as Round 1 and Round 2) — APSCHE conducts a final centralized round called Spot Allotment, sometimes also referred to as a mop-up round. This is the last opportunity to secure a seat through the state's rank-based Convener Quota system before colleges are permitted to fill any remaining vacancies through management quota (B-category) or direct institutional admission, which falls entirely outside APSCHE's merit-based process.

Eligibility for the final phase typically covers candidates who remain unallotted after Phase 2, and candidates who were allotted a seat in an earlier phase but did not complete fee payment or self-reporting. In some counselling cycles, APSCHE also opens a limited fresh-registration window specifically for the Spot Allotment round if a meaningful number of seats remain vacant — this is announced only in the official Spot Allotment notification, so candidates should not assume eligibility without checking cets.apsche.ap.gov.in directly.

Seat availability shifts sharply by this stage. Government and university-affiliated colleges — those under JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Anantapur, and Andhra University — are almost always fully subscribed for competitive branches like CSE, ECE, and IT by the end of Phase 2. Spot Allotment vacancies concentrate heavily in private engineering colleges operating under the Convener Quota, particularly in less-preferred branches such as Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or colleges located outside the major cities of Andhra Pradesh. Candidates entering this phase should meaningfully broaden their expectations compared to what they targeted in Phase 1 or Round 2 (Phase 2).

The local-area reservation framework — 85% of seats reserved for local-area candidates (split between the Andhra and Rayalaseema regions) and 15% for non-local, all-India candidates — continues to apply at this final stage, layered with the standard BC-A/B/C/D/E, SC, ST, and EWS category reservations. Category-wise seat vacancy is recalculated fresh for Spot Allotment, so it is worth re-checking your eligibility status rather than assuming it matches your Phase 1 or Phase 2 outcome.

It is important to understand that once the Spot Allotment round concludes, APSCHE's centralized process for that admission year effectively ends. Any seats still vacant after this point are filled by individual colleges directly, generally through management-quota admission at a fee structure set by the college's management rather than the Convener Quota fee schedule. This is why candidates who reach the final phase without a satisfactory outcome should prepare both a broad Spot Allotment web options list and a parallel plan for approaching colleges directly if needed.

Steps to Follow in the Final Phase (Spot Allotment)

1

Check the Spot Allotment Notification

Watch cets.apsche.ap.gov.in closely for the official Spot Allotment notification, which specifies eligibility, dates, and whether fresh registration is permitted.

2

Review the Updated Vacancy List

APSCHE publishes the final seat vacancy position before Spot Allotment web options open. Review this list carefully — it will differ significantly from Phase 1/Phase 2 lists.

3

Submit Broad Web Options

Since this is your last centralized chance, list a wide range of college-branch combinations, including private Convener Quota colleges and less-preferred branches you'd genuinely accept.

4

Accept Allotment & Pay Fee Immediately

If allotted, pay the seat acceptance fee and complete self-reporting right away — Spot Allotment deadlines are typically much shorter than earlier phases (often just 1–2 days).

5

Report to College Immediately

Physically report to the allotted college with all original documents without delay, as Spot Allotment reporting windows are the tightest of the entire counselling cycle.

What Happens to Unfilled Seats After the Final Phase?

Once Spot Allotment concludes, APSCHE's centralized, rank-based process for AP EAPCET 2026 effectively ends. Any seats that remain vacant — most commonly in private engineering colleges, less-popular branches, or campuses outside major cities — revert to the individual college's management to fill through what is called the management quota (B-category), typically at a different fee structure than the Convener Quota rate. Candidates who do not secure a seat through Spot Allotment should contact private colleges of interest directly to inquire about management-quota vacancies, while keeping documents ready for quick admission processing.

Final Phase Strategy Tips

  • Broaden your options significantly — Spot Allotment vacancies are concentrated in private colleges and less-preferred branches, not top government institutes.
  • Keep all documents ready in advance — reporting deadlines in the final phase are the shortest of the entire cycle, often just 1–2 days.
  • Have a management-quota backup plan — if Spot Allotment doesn't work out, approach private colleges directly without delay, as their own admission deadlines run in parallel.
  • Don't skip this round assuming it's not worth it — some reasonably-ranked private colleges and even reserved-category seats at better institutes do surface at this stage.

AP EAPCET 2026 Final Phase Allotment – FAQs

Common questions about AP EAPCET 2026 Spot Allotment (final phase) seat allotment

1
What is the 'final phase' of AP EAPCET 2026 counselling?
The final phase of AP EAPCET (AP EAPCET) 2026 counselling is the Spot Allotment round, conducted by APSCHE after Phase 1 and Phase 2 conclude. It is the last centralized, rank-based allotment opportunity for candidates before any remaining vacant seats revert to individual colleges for management-quota or direct-admission filling outside the state merit system.
2
When is the AP EAPCET 2026 final phase / Spot Allotment expected?
Phase 1 web options ran July 25–31, 2026, with seat allotment declared August 9, 2026. The Spot Allotment round follows after Phase 2 concludes. APSCHE has not officially notified this date — always confirm current status on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.
3
Who is eligible for the AP EAPCET 2026 Spot Allotment round?
Candidates who remain unallotted after Phase 1 and Phase 2, or who were allotted a seat but did not report/pay fees, generally remain eligible for Spot Allotment. In some years APSCHE also opens limited fresh registration for candidates who missed earlier phases entirely, subject to seat vacancy — this is confirmed only in the official Spot Allotment notification, so check cets.apsche.ap.gov.in carefully rather than assuming eligibility.
4
What kind of seats are typically available in the final phase?
By the final/Spot Allotment phase, government and university-affiliated colleges (JNTU Kakinada, JNTU Anantapur, Andhra University) are almost entirely filled for popular branches like CSE, ECE, and IT. Spot Allotment vacancies concentrate in private engineering colleges under the Convener Quota, particularly in less-preferred branches (Civil, Mechanical) or colleges outside major cities. Candidates should broaden their expectations significantly compared to Phase 1 or Phase 2.
5
What happens if I don't get a seat even after the final phase?
If you remain unallotted after the Spot Allotment round, APSCHE's centralized counselling process for the year effectively concludes. At this point, colleges fill any remaining vacancies directly through management quota (B-category) seats or direct/institution-level admission, which falls outside the rank-based Convener Quota system entirely. You would need to approach individual private colleges directly for such seats.
6
Do I need to pay a fresh registration fee for the Spot Allotment round?
This depends on the specific year's notification. Candidates who already registered and paid the AP EAPCET counselling fee (₹600–₹1,200 depending on category) in Phase 1 typically do not need to pay again for Spot Allotment, but fresh registrants (if the window is opened) usually do pay the standard registration fee. Always read the specific Spot Allotment notification on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in before assuming.
7
Does the local-area reservation still apply in the final phase?
Yes. Andhra Pradesh's local-area reservation policy — 85% of seats for local-area candidates (split between Andhra and Rayalaseema regions) and 15% for non-local, all-India candidates — along with the standard BC/SC/ST/EWS category reservations, continues to apply in the Spot Allotment round exactly as in Phase 1 and Phase 2. Category-wise vacancy positions are recalculated fresh for this final stage.
