VJTI, COEP, ICT Mumbai – MHT CET Cutoff 2026

VJTI Mumbai Computer Engineering (CSE) closing percentile for Open category in MHT CET CAP is consistently at 99.99+ percentile. In 2025, VJTI CSE closed at the maximum possible merit position in Open category. This means essentially only the top 50 candidates (out of ~4.5 lakh) can get VJTI CSE in Open category — making it the most competitive seat in Maharashtra engineering.

COEP Technological University (COEP) Pune offers: CSE (~99.96%ile), IT (~99.93%ile), AI & DS (~99.91%ile), E&TC (~99.75%ile), Electrical (~99.60%ile), Mechanical (~99.70%ile), Civil (~99.50%ile), Metallurgy (~98.50%ile). These are approximate Open category CAP Round 1 closing percentiles for 2026 based on 2025 data. COEP is also highly selective across all its branches.

ICT Mumbai (Institute of Chemical Technology) offers specialized programmes: Chemical Engineering (~99.50%ile), Pharmaceutical Sciences (~98.50%ile), Food Engineering & Technology (~97.50%ile), Dyestuff Technology (~96.00%ile), Surface Coating Technology (~95.00%ile). ICT is a deemed university and has a unique admission process — while MHT CET is used, ICT has its own merit list calculation.

For VJTI Mumbai, MU home university candidates get priority in the Home University seats (approximately 85% of intake). However, since VJTI's cutoffs are already at 99.99, the regional preference doesn't create much difference in practice — only the very top rankers from MU get VJTI CSE regardless.
