UPTAC (AKTU) 2026 counselling is now essentially complete. Registration (revised multiple times) closed on June 30, 2026. Round 1 choice filling ran July 13–16, 2026, with allotment declared July 18, 2026. Round 4 (auto-freeze) was allotted August 3, 2026, with fee payment due by August 7, 2026. Special Round registration opened August 8–9, 2026, open to fresh registrations and CUET UG candidates, followed by Special Round 2 whose seat allotment and physical reporting ran September 3–7, 2026 — the last round for candidates with confirmed seats from earlier rounds. UPSEE / AKTU 2026 Counselling Guide
Uttar Pradesh eliminated the separate UPSEE state exam from 2021 onwards. Admissions to 700+ AKTU-affiliated engineering colleges in UP now use JEE Main scores. This makes it one of the most accessible state counselling processes — you just need your JEE Main 2026 Paper 1 result.
