Top Engineering Colleges in Bangalore 2026

Bangalore, India's Silicon Valley, is home to some of the most placement-oriented engineering colleges in the country. While IIT Dharwad is located nearby, the city's private engineering ecosystem is led by RVCE, BMS, MSRIT and PES University — all of which have earned international recognition.

RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering) has been Karnataka's most coveted private engineering college for decades. Founded in 1963, it is autonomous and affiliated to VTU. Its KCET cutoff for CSE is consistently in the top 200 ranks, making it one of the most competitive private colleges in South India.

MSRIT (MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology) is another well-established Bangalore institution with strong industry ties. PES University has emerged as a strong competitor in recent years, especially for AI, ML and Data Science specializations where it has attracted top-tier tech recruiters.

Non-Karnataka students can access these colleges through COMEDK, which is a separate merit-based exam. JEE Main scores are also accepted for management quota and some All India seats.
