Most Accurate JEE Advanced College Predictor 2026

Built on real round-wise JoSAA 2026 cutoff data across all IITs, for a more reliable branch and institute estimate

What "Accuracy" Actually Means Here

Every college predictor makes a claim about accuracy, but few explain what that actually rests on. For our JEE Advanced predictor, accuracy comes down to one concrete thing: the underlying cutoff data is compiled from real JoSAA 2026 round-wise results — Round 1 through the final round — across all participating IITs, rather than a single flattened "last year closing rank" number pulled from a generic source.

Round-wise data matters because JoSAA allocation shifts seat-by-seat across rounds as candidates upgrade, withdraw, or float their preferences. A predictor that only looks at the final closing rank misses how close a borderline rank actually was to getting a seat in an earlier round, or how much a branch's cutoff moved between rounds 1 and 5.

We're not claiming perfect foresight — no tool can predict exactly how many seats a given institute-branch will have or how other candidates will choose their preferences in a future year. What we can do, and do, is ground every prediction in actual historical movement rather than a single static guess.

What the Data Covers

Our JoSAA 2026 dataset spans opening and closing ranks round-by-round for IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, broken down by category (General/CRL, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD) and quota (Gender-Neutral, Female-only). For IITs specifically, this round summary shows, for example, that the best IIT closing rank recorded in Round 1 2026 was 65 (IIT Bombay) while the widest closing rank reached into the tens of thousands for newer IITs — a spread that a single flattened cutoff number would hide entirely.

Run your own CRL rank and category through the JEE Advanced College Predictor to see this data applied to your specific numbers. If you're also considering NIT/IIIT/GFTI options via JEE Main, compare them using our JEE Main College Predictor, which draws on the same JoSAA 2026 round data.

Frequently Asked Questions – Most Accurate JEE Advanced Predictor

Common questions about predictor accuracy and the data behind it

1
What makes a JEE Advanced college predictor more or less accurate?
Accuracy depends mainly on the quality and depth of the underlying cutoff data: how many rounds of a counselling year it uses, how many previous years it draws on, whether it's broken down by category and quota, and how recently it was updated. A predictor using only one old data point for each institute-branch will be less reliable than one using round-wise, multi-year data.
2
Does this predictor use real 2026 JoSAA data or estimates?
It uses real round-wise closing rank data compiled from JoSAA 2026 counselling rounds across IITs — covering opening and closing ranks per round rather than a single flattened number. This lets the predictor reflect how cutoffs actually moved across rounds, which is closer to how real allocation behaves than a single static cutoff figure.
3
How many IITs and branches does the predictor cover?
The predictor covers all IITs participating in JoSAA counselling — from IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi to the newer IITs — across their full range of branches, with category-wise (General, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD) and quota-wise (Gender-Neutral/Female-only) cutoff variants.
4
Can any predictor guarantee 100% accurate results?
No honest predictor can guarantee an exact outcome, because actual JoSAA cutoffs depend on that year's applicant pool, number of seats, and candidate choices — factors unknown in advance. What a well-built predictor can do is give a realistic, data-backed estimate range rather than a guess, and that's the standard we aim for.
5
How is this different from predictors that only use last year's final cutoff?
Many simple predictors show only the previous year's final closing rank per institute-branch. Ours incorporates round-wise movement within JoSAA 2026, which shows how a rank near a round's cutoff could still shift seats in later rounds — giving a richer picture, especially for borderline ranks.
6
Should I treat the predicted result as my final admission outcome?
No. Treat predictions as a planning tool to shortlist realistic institute-branch combinations for your JoSAA choice filling, not as a guarantee. Always fill a wide, well-ordered preference list in JoSAA regardless of what the predictor shows.
