Tentative JoSAA 2026 counselling timeline based on current expectations. Check registration dates and seat allotment rounds after official release.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has not yet released the official counselling schedule for 2026. The process is still expected to be conducted in 6 rounds for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

Online registration and choice filling are expected to begin in June 2026 after the declaration of JEE Advanced 2026 results. Candidates must verify the final dates on the official JoSAA portal - josaa.nic.in.

The first seat allotment result is expected in late June or early July 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats will need to accept the seat by paying the prescribed seat acceptance fee through online mode.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seat can opt for upward movement by floating their choices. However, they must accept the currently allotted seat to remain in the counselling process.

Document verification will be done at the reporting centers after seat acceptance. Candidates must carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification.

After the final round, candidates must report to the allotted institute for admission with all original documents and the admission fee receipt. The academic session 2026-27 will commence in August 2026.
