JoSAA 2026 Counselling Schedule: Announced Dates

Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released JoSAA 2026 counselling schedule. Check registration dates and seat allotment rounds with verification.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the complete counselling schedule for 2026. The counselling process will be conducted in 6 rounds for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
Online registration and choice filling will begin in June 2026 after the declaration of JEE Advanced 2026 results. Candidates must register on the official JoSAA portal - josaa.nic.in.
The first seat allotment result will be declared in July 2026. Candidates who are allotted seats must accept the seat by paying the admission fee (₹35,000 for NITs/IIITs/GFTIs, ₹50,000 for IITs) through online mode.
Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seat can opt for upward movement by floating their choices. However, they must accept the currently allotted seat to remain in the counselling process.
Document verification will be done at the reporting centers after seat acceptance. Candidates must carry original documents along with self-attested photocopies for verification.
After the final round, candidates must report to the allotted institute for admission with all original documents and the admission fee receipt. The academic session 2026-27 will commence in August 2026.
