IIT Bombay achieves record placements with 1000+ offers. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs with highest package of ₹3.5 Cr.
IIT Bombay has concluded its 2025 placement season with exceptional results. The highest domestic package stood at ₹1.8 Cr per annum while the international package reached ₹3.5 Cr per annum.
The average package for the 2025 batch increased by 15% compared to the previous year, reaching ₹35 LPA. The median package also saw a significant rise to ₹28 LPA.
More than 1000 offers were made during the placement season with over 300 companies visiting the campus. The placement rate crossed 90% with students receiving multiple job offers.
Top recruiters included technology giants like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Apple, and Meta. Financial sector firms like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays also made lucrative offers.
Computer Science and Engineering continued to dominate with the highest packages, but other branches also performed exceptionally well. Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineering students received offers from core companies.
The number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) increased significantly with many students receiving offers after their summer internships. This trend reflects the confidence of top companies in IIT Bombay students.
