Chennai is a culturally rich city with strong South Indian heritage, excellent food, and a more relaxed lifestyle compared to Mumbai. Language can be a barrier for North Indian students initially, but the campus has a diverse student body.

IIT Bombay — Mumbai

550-acre campus in Powai, Mumbai — set against the backdrop of Powai Lake and Western Ghats. Mumbai's cosmopolitan culture, excellent connectivity (airport 15 km away), and the city's energy make it an exciting place to be. The fast pace of Mumbai and easy access to India's tech, finance, and media industries is a plus. Housing costs and city living expenses are higher than Chennai.
