2

Review Your Allotment

Check if the allotted college and branch match your expectations. Compare with your web options priority and consider whether you want to freeze or seek an upgrade in Phase 2.

3

Pay Tuition Fee Deposit Online

Pay the required tuition fee deposit online via the portal within the specified deadline. Payment through net banking/UPI/debit card. Keep the payment receipt safely.

4

Complete Self-Reporting on Portal

After fee payment, complete the online self-reporting process on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Select 'Freeze' or 'Float/Upgrade' option as applicable.

5

Choose: Freeze or Float/Upgrade

Freeze = confirm Phase 1 allotment, skip Phase 2. Float/Upgrade = participate in Phase 2 to potentially get a better allotment while keeping Phase 1 as backup.

6

Report to Allotted College (if Freezing)

If you freeze, report to the allotted college within the reporting window with all original documents. Complete fee payment and admission formalities at the college.

7

Participate in Phase 2 (if Float/Upgrade)

If you chose float/upgrade, participate in Phase 2 counselling. You may get a better allotment. If Phase 2 allots a better seat, accept it; otherwise retain Phase 1 seat.

Freeze vs Float/Upgrade – Detailed Comparison

Freeze

  • You are happy with Phase 1 allotment
  • Seat is confirmed — no risk of losing it
  • Do not participate in Phase 2
  • Proceed directly to college reporting
  • Best for: Got top choice or satisfied with allotment

Float / Upgrade

  • Want a better college/branch in Phase 2
  • Phase 1 seat is retained as backup
  • Participate in Phase 2 web options
  • If Phase 2 gives better seat, move to it
  • If no upgrade, keep Phase 1 seat
Important: When you upgrade in Phase 2, your Phase 1 allotment is automatically cancelled once you accept a Phase 2 seat. Carefully fill Phase 2 web options with only colleges/branches you would accept over your current allotment.

Frequently Asked Questions – AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 Allotment

Common questions about AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 seat allotment and next steps

1
How do I check my AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 allotment result?
To check AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 allotment: Visit cets.apsche.ap.gov.in, log in with your EAPCET hall ticket number and date of birth, navigate to the 'Allotment Result' or 'Seat Allotment' section, and download/print your allotment letter. The allotment letter shows the college name, branch, category, and fee details. You will also receive an SMS on your registered mobile number when allotment is published.
2
What should I do after receiving AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 allotment?
After Phase 1 allotment, you must: (1) Log in to cets.apsche.ap.gov.in and check your allotment details, (2) If satisfied, pay the tuition fee deposit online within the deadline, (3) Complete self-reporting on the portal, (4) Decide whether to 'freeze' (keep the seat and skip Phase 2) or 'float/upgrade' (participate in Phase 2 hoping for a better college while retaining Phase 1 seat as backup), (5) Report physically to the allotted college before the reporting deadline with all original documents.
3
What is the difference between Freeze and Upgrade/Float in AP EAMCET counselling?
In AP EAMCET 2026 counselling: 'Freeze' means you are fully satisfied with your Phase 1 allotment and do not want to participate in Phase 2. Your seat is confirmed and you proceed to college reporting. 'Float/Upgrade' means you want a better allotment in Phase 2. You retain your Phase 1 seat as a backup (you don't lose it), but if Phase 2 allots a better seat, you move to that. If Phase 2 gives you a worse seat or no upgrade, you keep the Phase 1 seat. There is no 'Slide' option specifically in AP EAMCET like JoSAA.
4
Can I get a refund if I don't accept my AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1 allotment?
If you do not pay the tuition fee deposit by the deadline, your Phase 1 allotment is automatically cancelled and you are still eligible for Phase 2 (if within the Phase 2 registration window). If you pay the fee and then withdraw, the counselling registration fee (₹600–₹1,200) is non-refundable but the tuition fee deposit is refundable (with possible deductions). If you report to college and then withdraw, withdrawal charges apply as per AP government rules.
5
I was not allotted a seat in AP EAMCET 2026 Phase 1. What can I do?
If you were not allotted a seat in Phase 1 (due to rank not being sufficient for your web options, or no web options matching), you can: (1) Participate in Phase 2 — re-register and exercise web options with more/different choices including lower-priority colleges, (2) Add more web options — consider colleges below your original preferences, (3) Check management quota — approach college management directly for B-category seats, (4) Consider spot allotment/mop-up rounds — held after Phase 2 for remaining vacant seats.
