How AP EAMCET Rank Is Calculated

AP EAMCET uses a composite score formula: Final Score = (0.75 × EAMCET marks / 160 × 100) + (0.25 × Intermediate marks / max × 100)

The Intermediate marks considered are from relevant subjects only: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry for Engineering stream. If you scored 120/160 in EAMCET and 92% in Intermediate, your final composite score would be approximately 56.25 + 23 = 79.25. Rank is then assigned in descending order of this composite score.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about AP EAMCET Rank Predictor 2026

1
How is AP EAMCET 2026 rank calculated?
AP EAMCET rank is based on a weighted score: 75% weightage is given to AP EAMCET marks and 25% weightage to 10+2 (Intermediate) marks in the relevant subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry for Engineering stream). The final rank is determined after normalisation across sessions.
2
What is the marks vs rank relationship for AP EAMCET 2026?
Approximately: 150+ marks → rank under 1,000; 130–149 marks → rank 1,000–5,000; 110–129 marks → rank 5,000–15,000; 90–109 marks → rank 15,000–35,000; 70–89 marks → rank 35,000–70,000; below 70 marks → rank 70,000+. These are estimates based on 2025 data — actual ranks depend on the 2026 candidate pool.
3
When will AP EAMCET 2026 results be declared?
AP EAMCET 2026 is expected to be conducted in April–May 2026, with results and rank cards released within 2–3 weeks of the exam. JNTU Kakinada (the conducting body) typically releases results at the official APSCHE website.
4
How does the 25% Intermediate marks weightage affect my rank?
Students with identical AP EAMCET scores but different Intermediate marks will get different final ranks. If your Intermediate Physics+Chemistry+Math percentage is high (90%+), it can improve your overall rank by 500–2,000 positions compared to someone with 75% Intermediate marks and the same EAMCET score.
5
Can I use my AP EAMCET rank to predict JEE Main equivalent?
Not directly — AP EAMCET and JEE Main have different difficulty levels, paper patterns, and candidate pools. AP EAMCET rank 1 is roughly equivalent to a JEE Main rank of 50,000–80,000 at the national level. Use the respective predictor tools for each exam's counselling process.
