TS EAMCET Rank Formula Explained

TS EAMCET final rank is computed as:

Composite Score = (0.75 × EAMCET Score / 160 × 100) + (0.25 × IPE Marks / Max × 100)

Rank is assigned in descending order of composite score. Ties are broken by EAMCET score, then by Maths score in Intermediate, then by age (older candidate ranked higher).

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about TS EAMCET Rank Predictor 2026

1
How is TS EAMCET rank calculated in 2026?
TS EAMCET rank uses a weighted composite: 75% weightage to TS EAMCET score (out of 160 for Engineering) and 25% weightage to Intermediate (Class 12) marks in the relevant subjects. For Engineering stream, the relevant subjects are Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
2
What is the expected TS EAMCET 2026 marks vs rank table?
Approximate estimates: 150+ marks → rank under 500; 130–149 → rank 500–4,000; 110–129 → rank 4,000–12,000; 90–109 → rank 12,000–30,000; 70–89 → rank 30,000–60,000; below 70 → rank 60,000+. These figures are based on TS EAMCET 2025 and may shift depending on 2026 difficulty.
3
When are TS EAMCET 2026 results expected?
TS EAMCET 2026 is expected to be held in May 2026 by JNTU Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE. Results and rank cards are typically released 2–3 weeks after the exam. Use this rank predictor as an advance planning tool before results are officially declared.
4
How does Intermediate percentage affect TS EAMCET rank?
The 25% Intermediate weightage can make a meaningful difference. A student scoring 130/160 in EAMCET with 95% Intermediate will rank higher than someone with the same EAMCET score but 75% Intermediate. The difference in composite score translates to a rank difference of roughly 1,000–3,000 positions.
5
Does TS EAMCET rank differ by session or day of exam?
Yes. TS EAMCET is typically conducted over multiple sessions. To ensure fairness, TSCHE applies a normalisation process (equi-percentile method) to adjust for session difficulty variation. The final normalised rank is what's used for counselling.
