IIIT Allahabad CSE Cutoff 2026

Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) is one of the oldest and most prestigious IIITs in India, established in 1999 as an Institute of National Importance. Located in Prayagraj (Allahabad), Uttar Pradesh, it consistently ranks among the top IIITs in the country for quality of education, research output, and placement records.

IIIT Allahabad offers undergraduate programs in Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), and its flagship Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program. The institute has dedicated research centres in areas including Intelligent Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, and Data Sciences, giving students exposure to cutting-edge work from their first year.

The CSE program at IIIT Allahabad is among the most sought-after seats in JoSAA counselling, with closing ranks consistently in the 8,000–9,500 range for General CRL. IIIT Allahabad has one of the strongest placement records among IIITs. For the 2024–25 batch, the average package for CSE graduates was approximately ₹20 LPA, with the median around ₹17 LPA. Top recruiters include Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Adobe, and DE Shaw.

The IT branch records slightly lower packages but still impressive numbers, with averages around ₹16–18 LPA. ECE placements are strong in core electronics companies as well as IT firms. The institute also has a strong culture of higher education, with many graduates pursuing MS/PhD at top global universities.
