Candidates must be among top 2.5 lakh rank holders in JEE Main 2026, have passed 12th with PCM in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026 with minimum 75% marks, and be born on or after October 1, 2001.
2How many attempts are allowed for JEE Advanced?
You can attempt JEE Advanced maximum 2 times in consecutive years. For example, if you first appear in 2025, you can appear again in 2026, but not in 2027.
3What is the difference between JEE Main and JEE Advanced?
JEE Main is for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and is qualifying for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is specifically for IITs with more difficult questions, different exam pattern, and tests advanced problem-solving skills.
4What is the exam pattern for JEE Advanced 2026?
JEE Advanced has two papers (Paper 1 and 2) of 3 hours each. Both papers are compulsory. Each paper has 54 questions from PCM with variable marking scheme. Total marks for both papers combined is 360.
