JoSAA Counselling Process - Complete Guide:
What is JoSAA?
- •Joint Seat Allocation Authority
- •Conducts counselling for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs
- •Single platform for all admissions
Step 1: Registration
- •Online registration after JEE Advanced results
- •Fill personal details, preferences
- •Pay registration fee (₹35,000 for General, ₹15,000 for SC/ST)
- •Upload documents
Step 2: Choice Filling
- •Fill institutes and branches in order of preference
- •Can fill as many choices as you want
- •Research before filling (check cutoffs, placements)
- •Important: Lock choices before deadline
Step 3: Seat Allotment (Rounds)
- •6 rounds of seat allocation
- •Allotment based on:
- Your rank
- Category
- Filled preferences
- Seat availability
Step 4: Acceptance & Fee Payment
- •Check allotment result online
